RAPID RIVER, Mich. – The wedding of Jaime Duval and Rob Beranek was held at 5 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the Rapid River Lodge in Rapid River, Mich. Stephen Muzzy, friend of the couple, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Beranek is the daughter of Cheryl Duval of Lewiston and the late Conrad Duval. Mr. Beranek is the son of Steve and Sue Beranek of Gladstone, Mich.
The bride carried a bouquet of locally grown sunflowers.
Ushers were Brett Beranek and Nathan Beranek, brothers of the bridegroom, and Jeff Duval, brother of the bride. He also played music during the ceremony. Steve Beranek, father of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at Rapid River Lodge, after which the couple traveled to Marco Island, Fla.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in human ecology from the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor and a master’s degree in environmental studies from Antioch University New England in Keene, N.H. She is an aspiring farmer and yoga teacher.
The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in applied physics at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Mich., and a master’s degree in environmental studies at Antioch University New England in Keene, N.H. He is an environmental technician at Cliffs Natural Resources in Palmer, Mich.
