Dear Sun Spots: This is in response to the person who had what they believed to be vintage clothing that they wanted to sell. If indeed they are 50-60 years old I would be interested in buying them for Orphan Annie’s. They may wish to bring them into the store for me to have a look, at which time I would make an offer if they are what I can use. They may call 782-0638. – Dan Poulin, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: In response to No Name who wants to sell some vintage clothing, I am interested in buying vintage clothing of this age. Please call me at 897-4018 or e-mail at 12atoz@verizon.net. – Dale, Livermore Falls.

Dear Sun Spots: I saw the article about the person who may have some vintage clothing to pass on. I would be more than happy to meet with and view the vintage clothing. I may be reached at 713-0804. I am willing to travel. Thank you. – PC, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: Perhaps the vintage clothes could be donated to area schools to be used in school plays or some other theater group. Just a thought. – Elaine, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for the recipe for the dip just like the one at TGIF (Friday’s) Restaurant that is served with the deep-fried green beans. Also, does anyone have pre-folded baby diapers they no longer use? Call 998-5418. Thanks! – No Name, Poland.

Answer:
Like most franchise restaurants, T.G.I. Friday’s does not disclose their recipes. We discovered a copycat recipe for the cucumber wasabi ranch dip you are referring to. Though we haven’t tried it, it has gotten rave reviews from those who have.

Ingredients: ½ cup ranch bottled salad dressing, ¼ cup minced cucumber (peeled and seeded), 1 tablespoon whole milk, 1½ teaspoons prepared horseradish, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, 1 teaspoon powdered wasabi, 1/8 teaspoon salt and a pinch ground cayenne pepper.

Method: Combine all of the ingredients in a blender on high speed until smooth. Cover and chill. The dip will thicken as it chills.
