FARMINGTON – The Warming Center will be open at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Jan. 27 and 29. Everyone is welcome to stop in or stay for the day.
Hot soup, coffee and cocoa are available free throughout the day. Soup is usually served as an appetizer at 11:45. The SeniorsPlus meal (for people of all ages) will be served at noon.
The menu for Tuesday will be manicotti with marinara sauce, green beans, wheat bread stick, cinnamon apples and dessert. Thursday’s menu will be baked beans, low sodium franks, sliced carrots, wheat hot dog roll and assorted fruit. A $3 donation is requested by SeniorsPlus, but donations of any size are appreciated. Those wishing to eat the lunch are asked to sign up at the center or to call 778-2163 for a reservation by 9 a.m. the day before.
It will be the last week of the Warming Center at Henderson Baptist Church. In February, the center will move to St. Joseph’s Parish Hall.
A toy corner is all set up for children, and parents are welcome to bring their children.
Handicap parking is available on Academy Street and the door closest to Main Street is the handicap accessible entrance to the center. All are welcome.
