LEWISTON – Guitarist and singer/songwriter Arlo West, who has recorded more than 13 albums, will play Saturday, Jan. 31, at Little Dan’s BBQ restaurant on Main Street.

West has appeared as a guest artist on many albums and has toured with Uncle John Turner and Bobby Torello, formerly with Johnny Winter.

Born in Oquossoc in 1958, West moved at about age 11 to Auburn, where he was influenced by such musicians as Lenny Breau. West became friends with Jeff Wright, who helped him develop his style of playing.

In 1985, West met Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, who suggested he move to Austin, Texas. There, West was signed to Russell Whitaker’s label, Brighton Road Productions.

The show will begin at 8:30 p.m. There is no charge. Little Dan’s is at 757 Main St.
