PARIS – A 25-year-old man pleaded guilty Friday to sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl.

Bryan Scott Lane Gower, of 40 Breezy Lane in Cornish, pleaded guilty in the Oxford County Superior Court to two counts of Class A gross sexual assault. The plea dismissed four other counts of gross sexual assault.

According to an affidavit by Maine State Police Trooper Dan Hanson, Gower was arrested last June and admitted to sexually abusing the girl over the course of a month.

Gower’s sentencing is scheduled for April 7, pending the results of a psychiatric evaluation.
