A variety of specialists come to Rumford Hospital’s Specialty Clinics on a regular basis, so that people from the River Valley don’t have to travel to the Lewiston-Auburn area for appointments.

Dr. Lauren Adey of Central Maine Orthopaedics sees patients in the Rumford Hospital Specialty Clinics once a month. Her colleagues from CMO who come to the Rumford Hospital Specialty Clinics are Drs. Jeff and Matt Bush, Dr. Paul Cain, Dr. James Timoney and Dr. Patrick Fallon. They alternate trips to Rumford to conduct two orthopaedic clinics each week. Conveniently on the same floor is the Rehabilitation Department where therapists see many of the doctors’ orthopaedic patients.

Dr. Nicollette Erickson sees oncology and hematology patients in the Specialty Clinics once each week. And she has the support of the hospital Oncology Suite nearby.

Drs. Lynette Fahnestock and Roy Ulin have weekly cardiology clinics at Rumford Hospital. While they are seeing patients, other patients may be just down the hall in a cardiac rehab class.

In addition, there are an orthotist and a physician who specializes in pain who each come every other week.

The newest clinic is that of plastic surgeon Dr. Neysan Bayat, who comes to the Rumford Hospital Specialty Clinics every other week.

Specialty Clinics also hosts a Wound Clinic every Thursday with Dr. P.A. Aslam and certified wound care nurse Barbara MacGregor.
