LIVERMORE FALLS – Senior guard Missy O’Connor scored an impressive 20 points to catapult Livermore Falls to a 64-34 victory over Telstar in MVC girls’ basketball action Monday.

Senior forward Kendra Lyman notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds for Livermore Falls (9-9). Freshman forward Kayla Merrill and senior center Brianna Douglass posted 15-point performances for the Rebels (2-16).

Winthrop 43, Madison 36 OT

MADISON – Lindsay Gordon scored five of her game-high 16 points in overtime to lead Winthrop past Madison, 43-36 in MVC girls’ basketball action.

Nikki Scott chipped in with nine points for Winthrop (12-5). Andrea Smith led Madison (8-9) with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Oxford Hills 47, Lewiston 38

SOUTH PARIS – Lauren Brett and Ali Nolan combined for 24 points as Oxford Hills coasted to a 47-38 victory over Lewiston in KVAC girls’ basketball action Monday.

Ashlee LaBonte notched a team-high 12 points for Lewiston (0-17). Kim Archibald added seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Lisbon 55, Georges Valley 34

LISBON – Lisbon extended a 10-point lead to 22 by halftime and coasted for a 55-34 victory over Georges Valley.

Renee Moore scored a game-high 18 points for the Greyhoun (12-5)ds, while Sam Purcel had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Jessica Veilleux scored 10 points to lead the Bucanneers (6-11).

Girls’ hockey

Lewiston 6, Brunswick 1

LEWISTON – Marisa Zamrock scored the game’s first two goals and later added an assist to lead Lewiston to a 6-1 triumph over Brunswick in the Devils’ regular-season finale.

The Blue Devils (15-1-2) will enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seed. Emilie Cloutier and Katie Cobb also scored for Lewiston.

Michelle Rancourt scored a goal in both the second and third periods to complete the scoring. Cobb and Mariah Conway each had two assists.

Stephanie Belanger picked up the win in net for the Devils.

Winthrop-Maranacook 1, Leavitt 0

READFIELD – Junior right wing Sandy Leimbach scored the lone goal of the game as Winthrop-Maranacook secured a 1-0 victory over Leavitt in girls’ ice-hockey action Monday. Goalie Brianna Dionne made 19 saves for the Hornets (6-12), while Ashley Marcellino earned the win in net for the Rambling Bears (4-14) with 12 saves.

Boys’ basketball

Oxford Hills 49, Lewiston 46

LEWISTON – Oxford Hills survived a final flurry from beyond the 3-point arc to escape with a 49-46 victory over Lewiston in a KVAC boys’ basketball game played Monday.

Jordan Farrar led the Vikings (7-10) with 15 points, while Josh Childs added eight. Leading the Devils (2-15) were Yahaye Mohamed with 12 points and Andy Pulk with eight.

Boys’ hockey

Mt. Ararat 4, Oak Hill/Lisbon 1

LISBON – Mt. Ararat skated to a 4-1 victory over Oak Hill/Lisbon in boys’ ice hockey action Monday night.

Junior forward Josh Prue scored the opening goal on a conversion from senior Dustin Elwell and junior Taylor Thiboutot for Oak Hill/Lisbon, but that was all the offense they could muster.

Cam Blouin made 56 saves in net for the Oak Hill/Lisbon squad, while Jordan Sweird earned the win in net for Mt. Ararat by stopping 41 of the 42 shots he faced.
