Hands On time

WILTON – The Hands On PAH! program at the Wilton Free Public Library is planning this month’s interpreted storytime for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at the library.

Staff hopes scheduling the interpreted storytime during February break may make it more convenient for families to attend. All deaf and hearing children are welcome.

Darleen Winship, a deaf teacher and storyteller from Gov. Baxter School for the Deaf, will be the storyteller. For hearing children, the story will be voiced by Lori Lewis, interpreter.

Free ski nights

JAY – The Spruce Mountain Ski Club is offering free skiing on two Wednesdays this month with the help of local businesses.

Free ski nights are from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 4 and 11. The public is invited.

College visitor

FARMINGTON – A representative from Thomas College of Waterville will visit Mt. Blue High School at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11.

The representative will meet with students to discuss the Thomas academic and sports programs and its residential life opportunities.
