Julie Miller-Hendry, an American Cancer Society volunteer, carries a four-foot bear named Carrie N. Hope down the hallway of the St. Mary’s Cancer Resource Center. The bear was specially designed for the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days 2009 fund-raising promotion and cancer awareness. The American Cancer Society is a nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer.
