AUBURN – Comedian Tom Clark, who has been in the spotlight for two decades, will headline Comedy Night Saturday, Feb. 7, at The Fireside Inn & Suites. Also performing will be Carolyn Plummer and Tim Hoffman, who is from Portland.

Clark’s comic beginnings are rooted in sketch comedy in the ’80s. He and fellow members in the Boffo Players wore the hats of writer, director and performer as they toured clubs and colleges throughout New England as “Vaudevillians for the Post Atomic Era.” He then broke out on his own in the stand-up scene of Boston.

His slight stutter disappears when his comedic voices hit the stage.

Clark cut his road teeth on a 28-day, 28-show tour as the opener for Bill Haley’s Comets. This summer Southern tour opened the door for more concert shows. He has appeared on stage with artists of varied genres, including Tommy Cash, The Temptations, Livingston Taylor and Robert Palmer.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $14 at the door, $12 with a reservation. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. For reservations, call (207) 777-1777. The Fireside Inn & Suites is at 1777 Washington St., at Exit 75 off of the Maine Turnpike.
