KINGFIELD – Todd L. Katz, Sr., 51, formerly of Strong, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, in Kingfield.

He was born in Edison, N.J., March 4, 1957, a son of Louis Malcolm and Patricia (Lincoln) Katz and received his education in New Jersey schools and graduated from Merritt College in Oakland, Calif.

In 1982, he married Mary Lou Hering and they moved to Maine to make their home in 1990.

He worked as an X-ray technician at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, where he later became the director. He later worked for GE Medical Systems as a sales representative. He loved the outdoors in the western Maine mountains, where he spent time hunting, fishing and shooting.

He is survived by his wife of Strong; two children, Todd Lincoln Katz Jr. and Lenore Goldie Katz, both of Strong; his mother of New Jersey; a brother, Neil of Caratunk; two sisters, Stephanie and Martha, both of New Jersey; a half sister, Linda Glincman of New Jersey.

He was predeceased by a sister, Jennifer; and his father.
