SOUTH PARIS – The Oxford County Agriculture Group is sponsoring a workshop, “Marketing Your Small Business When Times Are Tough,” on how to use the Internet to create an on-line market.

The workshop will be held at the Western Maine University and Community College in South Paris on Feb. 21 from 8:30 a.m.-noon.

Abby Holm, a New Hampshire farmer with an 80-member CSA, will share her experiences developing the Local Foods Plymouth project, an on-line marketplace selling products in the Plymouth, N.H., area. Besides Holm, participants will hear from providers such as the Small Business Association, Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments, and Women Work and Community on the marketing programs and assistance available locally.

There is no fee but pre-registration by Feb. 13 is required by calling the University of Maine Cooperative Extension office at 743-6329 or 1-800-287-1482.
