SCARBOROUGH – Payson Clifford Scott, 30, of Limington, died Sunday, Feb. 8, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, after a brief illness, with his loving father by his side.

He arrived in this world challenged, on Dec. 26, 1978, the son of Gregory F. Scott and Roxanne Coronios Clifford. He attended local schools and graduated from Deering High School, Class of 1999, and he also attended the Spurwink School.

He has been a resident of Spurwink Services since the age of 16, most recently with the adult program in Limington. He also worked at the Spurwink Farm in Limerick. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing basketball and video games with his friends. He will be dearly missed by the many people, whose lives he has touched over the years.

He would like to sincerely thank his direct care staff, Dustin Boyington and Bob and Ruth Koch and the many case workers, Inga Sullivan, Sue Murphy and Maggie Zack. They saved our lives and continued to provide excellent caring personal services, and the angels on staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

He is survived by his father, Gregory F. Scott and his companion, Timothy Osgood, of Old Orchard Beach; a brother, Alexander T. Hurtubise of Portland; three aunts, Barbara Morse, Karen Sweatt and Susan and her husband, George Gallant, all of Dixfield; and an uncle, Clifford C. Clifford Jr. of Biddeford.

He was predeceased by his mother, Roxanne on Dec. 7, 2004; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Anastasia Clifford Sr.; paternal grandparents, Reginald and Arlene Scott; an aunt, Rhoda Tessari; and two uncles, David Scott and Richard Scott.
