I am very sorry to see that the Lewiston Maineiacs will be leaving. My husband and I, and his dad, and our two sons, wives and four grandchildren, are season ticket holders.
We enjoy the games, even this year, when the team has lost many games. We were all there, cheering them on; even the 2-year-old hollers “Let’s go Maineiacs.”
It is great for families and friends to gather and have a good time. We have enjoyed it tremendously.
The new coach, Don MacAdam, is great with the team. We’ve seen how the team plays differently since he’s been here. Too bad he wasn’t here at the beginning of the season.
The players are a great bunch of guys, but Danick Paquette is one of our favorites.
I feel that the fans should have been told about the team leaving at the Saturday night game, Jan. 31, either during or at the end, since management knew by then. It wasn’t fair to the fans to have to go home and see it on television.
The Maineiacs will be missed.
