Frank G. Staples of Old Orchard will be the proprietor of the Summit Spring House at Poland during the coming season. The Summit Spring House is one of the best of the inland hotels and is located a few miles from the Poland Spring House. There is a large farm in connection where many of the vegetables and fruits served at the hotel are raised and Mr. Staples will have the management of it. A new all-time Lewiston hockey attendance record is assured this coming weekend as sources began running low last night of tickets for the Saturday-Sunday appearance of the Berlin, N.H., Maroons against Bates Co. Fabrics at the Central Maine Youth Center. Downtown agencies were reported almost cleaned out yesterday and the Arena ticket supply was cut to a couple hundred, counting available space for both games.
The Maroon’s club forwarded a playing roster including Marcel Benoit of Sherbrooke, who once helped the Berlin squad win a U.S. National championship. Coach Ray Marcotte of the Fabrics said he plans no counter-move.
