FARMINGTON – Franklin Memorial Hospital is enrolling students for a medical terminology course being offered this spring. The course will start March 4 and meet every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon through June 10 in the Crosby Room. The instructor will be Anne Piroso, MSEd.
At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to identify terms of the human body, as well as diagnostic tests, diagnoses and surgical procedures utilized by each medical specialty. The course is designed to bring together the spectrum of information used by allied health professionals who need to understand and use medical terminology.
Class size is limited, and those interested should register before Friday, Feb. 27.
The fee for the course and required textbook is $380 for those not employed by Franklin Community Health Network. Employees are responsible for the cost of the textbook only, which is $37.50.
