RUMFORD – The Rumford Historical Society is changing its regular meeting date from Wednesday, Feb. 18, to Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 5:30 p.m.

The society will join with the Mexico Historical Society for a meeting to discuss the Lithuanian immigrants’ impact on the area.

A potluck meal, featuring Lithuanian dishes, will be served at the Calvin Lyons Room in the basement of the Mexico Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. Guests bringing Lithuanian dishes are encouraged to bring the recipes to share with others and to possibly include in an ethnic cookbook in the future.

For those unable to attend the meal, the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the same location. The public is invited.
