LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine recently debuted a Facebook profile page. Through the page, the YWCA will share news, photos, upcoming events and information with members and community friends.

Facebook is a social networking site with more than 38,000 members in the Lewiston-Auburn network. Friends of the YWCA can interact with the organization directly by posting comments, photos, experiences or questions.

“The features of Facebook have already proved very useful to the YWCA in disseminating information to our members and the community at large,” said Kayt DeMerchant, marketing director. “We’ve gotten wonderful feedback on the new page and our members find it is now much easier to keep up to date on the latest happenings at the YWCA.”
