AUBURN – Richard J. Plourde, 70, of Lowell Street, Lewiston, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
He was born in Fort Kent, on Jan. 16, 1939, a son of the late Dennis and Marie (Cyr) Plourde. He married the former Roseann Rancourt in 1964. Dick worked for 25 years at Knapp Shoe and the went on to work for Bates College for 20 years. He enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. He loved his family, especially his four children.
He leaves a daughter, Carol Duguay and her husband, Jim, of Greene; three sons, Mark Plourde of Sabattus, Ron Plourde and his wife, Jennifer, of New York, and Don Plourde and his wife, Lisa, of Readfield; a sister, Priscilla Smith of Florida; five brothers, Raynold Plourde of Florida, Roger and Carlton Plourde of Lewiston, Harold Plourde of Lisbon and Robert Plourde of Lewiston; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was predeceased by a brother, Hermon; and a sister, Cora.
