The sleek Chevrolet Cobalt greets 2009 with enhancements that provide increased fuel efficiency.

Along with more-efficient performance, the ’09 Cobalt offers customer-focused enhancements that build on a package of choices, convenience and safety features. The 2009 Cobalt lineup includes LS, LT and the turbocharged SS models – an SS sedan joins the ranks this year. The SS coupe and sedan are powered by a sophisticated 2.0L turbocharged and intercooled Ecotec engine that uses direct injection technology to provide a great balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

The Sport Appearance Package includes a rear spoiler, larger body-color fascias and rocker moldings; 17-inch polished aluminum wheels with performance tires; chrome exhaust tip; fog lamps; white-face sport gauges; leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob; and steering wheel audio controls.

Variable valve timing added to the 2.2L Ecotec engine enables more efficient performance, along with an increase in horsepower from 148 to 155 hp.

New exterior colors – Silver Ice Metallic, Gold Mist Metallic and Silver Moss Metallic – are added to the Cobalt’s color palette.
