TURNER – Margret F. Stevens, 94, of Lower Street, Turner, died Thursday, Feb. 12, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Turner on March 4, 1914, a daughter of the late Percy and Ethel (Tapley) Hamlin. She was educated in Turner and attended Leavitt Institute.

Margret married the love of her life, Leslie Irving Stevens, on Dec. 23, 1932. He predeceased her in 1983.

She was member of the Turner Universalist Church and a former member of the Grange. She made quilts for her whole family and dolls for all her grandchildren. She also did a lot of sewing for her family. Margret enjoyed going to yard sales, card parties with her family, spending time at Bear Pond Camp with her family, reading, going for Sunday morning breakfast and going for rides.

She leaves two daughters, Elvera Pardi of Turner and Gail Salvatore and her husband, Albert, of Turner; a son, Gary Stevens of Turner; nine grandchildren, Michael Pardi, Michaelene Van Nguyen, Steven Pardi, Leah Lee, Christina Jones, Leslie Belanger, John Salvatore, and Timothy and Thomas Stevens; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Norman; and a sister, Doris.
