LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Pauline J. Poulin was celebrated Friday morning by Monsignor Marc Caron at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul Church of the Prince of Peace Parish following prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home.

The burial pall representing Baptism into a new life was draped by Pauline’s mother, Irene, and Pauline’s brother, Donald Poulin. During Mass, the Old Testament reading was proclaimed by Pauline’s sister-in-law, Terry Poulin, and the New Testament reading was proclaimed by Pauline’s cousin, Diane Mottram. The Prayer of the Faithful was proclaimed by Jeanne Martin, a cousin of Pauline’s. Offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Pauline’s close friend, Eugene LeClair, and Terry Poulin.

Following committal prayers by Monsignor Caron at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Pauline’s childhood friend, Kathleen Duggan Jessop from Middleboro, Mass., played a tape of her daughter, Sarah Jessop, singing “Lamb of God,” a Celtic Mass which was a favorite Celtic song of Pauline’s. Pallbearers were John and Jamie Anctil, Don Poulin II, Bruce Mottram, Nicole Robichaud, Paul Biron and Maurice Poulin. All in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston.
