MANCHESTER, N.H. – Erin Goforth and Joshua Dupuis were united in marriage in an intimate 6 p.m. ceremony on Jan. 3 at Bethany Chapel in Manchester. The bridegroom’s aunt, Carrie Tarbox, officiated the wedding.
Mrs. Dupuis is the daughter of Kathy Goforth of Bowdoin and Charles Goforth of Richmond. Mr. Dupuis is the son of Anita Gladysz of Goffstown, N.H., and Michael Dupuis of Madison, N.H.
The bride, who carried a bouquet of red and white roses, was given in marriage by her father.
The matron of honor was Misty Cottle, sister of the bride. Steven Max, long-time friend of the bridegroom, was best man. A reading, from “The Prophet,” by Kahil Gibran, was read by Dawn Dionne of Manchester, a friend of the couple. Music for the ceremony was played by Maya Chapman, a long time friend of the bride.
A reception followed at Unwine’d, a wine restaurant in Manchester. The menu included cheese fondue, rosemary chicken and chocolate fondue. The couple left the next week to complete their move to New Orleans, La.
The bride graduated from Edward Little High School and received her doctorate from the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Goforth is employed as an assistant professor in the psychology department at Loyola University New Orleans.
The bridegroom graduated from Goffstown High School. He was employed as a polymer operator at NYCOA in Manchester and is now completing the move to New Orleans. He is also a beekeeper and emergency medical technician.
