I am writing in response to a story I saw on television about stores selling flasks to teens.
What is the big problem?
If a young teen wants to buy a flask, it is not a mortal sin. They are just trying to be in style.
Just because they buy flasks does not mean they are automatically going to put alcohol in them.
If the children who buy the flasks have been taught by their parents about the ill effects of alcohol, chances are they won’t use the stuff.
There is a good chance that if a sign saying “Not intended for alcohol use” was displayed, most teens would walk right by the flasks without a second look.
I believe that if children are made aware of the dangers of alcohol and drugs in the home, most won’t use the flasks for that reason, anyway. They just want to be in style.
Most children nowadays are aware of the dangers of alcohol and drugs. Parents must learn to trust their children to make the right decisions.
If the children have been taught in the home, they will be in style, not in trouble.
