WOLFEBORO, N.H. – Gregory Alan Bunney, 58, of Tamworth, N.H., formerly of Auburn, died suddenly Friday, Feb. 13, at the Wolfeboro Hospital.

He was born in Lewiston, on June 23, 1950, the son of John E. and Marion Hatch Emery-Chesley of West Poland. He attended schools in Auburn, Poland, Gould Academy and was a graduate of Edward Little High School in 1968, and the University of New Hampshire in 1972.

A very people-oriented man, he cherished time spent with his family. Music and plants were ever present in his life wherever he was. For 37 years, he has been a highly respected Psychiatric Social Worker, the past five years having been with the NCIL of North Conway, N.H. Recently, he had become an active member of the UU Fellowship of the Eastern Slopes, Tamworth. He was a life member of the Ferry Beach Park Association, the UU Conference Center.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Claire V. Chesley Jr.; sister, Betsy Jo Whitcomb and husband, Charles H. Whitcomb, of Falmouth; his aunt, Elsie H. Parker of West Poland; several cousins; stepbrothers, Bruce M. Emery of Raleigh, N.C., Christopher and James Chesley, both of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Clair Chesley III of Richmond and Duncan Chesley of Durham and their families; a stepsister, June Emery Hill of Hillsdale, N.J.; his partner of 30 years, Robert Randall of Tamworth, N.H., where they have enjoyed their home for the past three years, having formerly lived in Portland, Portsmouth and North Conway; and a sister-in-law, Susan Randall of Marblehead, Mass.
