LEWISTON – Debrajean Colson-Bissonette, 51, died suddenly Saturday, Feb. 14, in her home at 176 Rosedale St.

She was born Aug. 6, 1957, in Saugus, Mass., to Richard Colson and Janice Colson (Legere). She was a graduate of Lynn Tech in Massachusetts, then Midstate College in Auburn.

She was a devoted mother, wife and friend. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping. She had a great passion for animals, often caring for many at a time.

Her favorite Bible passage was Isaiah 65:25, where Jehovah God, by means of his son Jesus Christ, promises a new earth and “The wolf and the lamb will feed as one, and the lion will eat straw … They will do no harm or cause any ruin …” She spoke many times of wanting to care for these animals when Jehovah establishes his promised restored paradise. She gained much comfort from the Bible’s promises and was able to build hope for all the pain and suffering to soon end.

She lost the love of her life, best friend and husband, Marc, on July 4, 2008. They were devoted mates and parents. They are survived and deeply missed by their children, Laura Fecteau and husband, Jeff, of Auburn and Jesse Shepherd and wife, Angela, of Lisbon; five grandchildren, Kerry Michael Shepherd, 17, Taylor Shepherd-Smith, 13, Kayleb Shepherd, 6, Serena Fecteau, 5 and Layla Fecteau, 3; half sister, Rose Colson of San Diego, Calif.; uncle, Allan Legere of Georgia; aunt, Joan Denham of Lynn, Mass.; one nephew; one niece; and her loving family of in-laws. She cherished you all.

She was predeceased by her husband, Marc; her parents; and three younger brothers, Rick, Mark and Alan Colson.
