MEXICO – Girl Scouts of Maine is offering a four-week “Babysitting 101” program for area girls in grades four and up starting Tuesday, March 10, at Mountain Valley Middle School.

The program will include getting a baby-sitting business started, playtime ideas for children of all ages, understanding the likes and dislikes of children and troubleshooting solutions to the most common problems a baby-sitter faces. Participants will receive Babysitting 101 certification.

The program will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m., offered in collaboration with SAD 43 River Valley Community Learning Center Afterschool Program. There is no cost; however, a membership fee of $10 is required for non-Girl Scouts.

Membership assistance is available.

Registration deadline is Thursday, March 5.
