County tax assessment
Issue: Yearly review of assessment from Androscoggin County, which stands at $450,157.58.
The scoop: Selectmen approved the assessment, which is about $20,000 more than last year.
Up next: The county will be paid Sept. 1.
Budget requests
Issue: Wage increases of 3.5 percent requested; $425,000 requested by the road committee, road commissioner and public works foreman for paving and construction; $100,000 requested for the equipment reserve account.
The scoop: The Budget Committee and selectmen recommended no wage increase this year; the road committee, road commissioner and public works foreman decreased their request for paving and construction to $200,000, and for equipment reserve account to $70,000, opting to delay some summer road projects.
Up next: Voters will decide on the budget at town meeting April 4.
