FARMINGTON – Lois Ann Medcoff, 60, of Jay, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 28, 1948, in Farmington, a daughter of Philip Wright and Sara (Casey) Wright Wood.

She was a 1966 graduate of Jay High School and worked in Norwock Shoe after she graduated and until she became a homemaker.

She enjoyed music, playing in the high school band, dance band and the Old Crow Indian Band. For several years, she taught Sunday School at the North Jay Universalist Church and sang in the church choir. She loved animals, especially cats, birds, butterflies and hummingbirds and enjoyed gardening.

She was also a member of the Le Parresseux Snowshoe Club of Rumford.

She will be remembered for her candor and sense of humor.

She is survived by her father, Philip Wright of North Jay; two daughters, Terri Harris and her husband, Everett Harris II, of Wilton and Brenda Medcoff of East Dixfield; two grandchildren, Heather Harris and Randon Harris; a very close friend, Bill Presley of North Jay; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her mother, Sara Wood; and a sister, Lorna Dale.
