PARIS – A West Paris man has been charged in connection with a threatening incident in downtown Paris last week.
Joshua Levitte Morin, 22, of Morse Hill Road, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of criminal threatening. According to police Lt. Michael Dailey, Morin is suspected of threatening to stab a man with a jackknife at about 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 13 near the Irving station on Main Street.
The suspect fled the scene. Dailey said Norway police helped identify Morin from a previous incident, and that the victim confirmed that Morin had threatened him after seeing his photo.
Morin was in a vehicle that was stopped by Maine State Police in Jay on Tuesday. He was arrested and taken to the Oxford County Jail, where he made bail Thursday afternoon.
Dailey said the two men did not know each other.
