LEWISTON – The Institute for Civic Leadership is partnering with the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce to present a Board Builders workshop, Beyond Basics: A Workshop for Experienced Board Members.

The workshop will be held in the Community Conference Room at the Business Service Center at KeyBank Plaza, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston, from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 26. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. and a continental breakfast will be served. Registration fee is $70 for the first person from an organization and $55 for each additional member from the same organization.

The half-day workshop will offer an in-depth look into the 10 basic responsibilities of nonprofit boards and the 12 principles of governance that power exceptional boards. Designed specifically for those who have a basic appreciation of responsibilities and governance, and especially for those who have attended ICL’s Core Responsibilities workshop, this intermediate workshop takes attendees to the next level of understanding of board governance.
