LEWISTON – Mary Lafrance, 86, formerly of Ash Street, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born in Lisbon, March 15, 1922, the daughter of the late John J. and Veronica Veilleux Fortin. She was married to Mickey Stone and later to Bedette Lafrance, who both predeceased her. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a kitchen aide at Central Maine Medical Center. She was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
She is survived by a brother-in-law, Al Daignault of Sabattus; nieces and nephews, Ray Goulet of Sabattus, Frank Bussiere Jr. of Florida, Fernande Morse of Florida, Caroline Bussiere of Portland, Betty Grimmell of New York, Margaret Daigle of Delaware, and Sue Zubiate of Lewiston; and close friends, Joyce Moreau and husband, Rey, and Martha Stevens.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Annette Goulet, Cecile Daignault and Yvette Bussiere; and two brothers, Raymond and Roland Fortin.
