About a year ago, at a Lewiston School Committee meeting, we were approached to approve a girls’ hockey team. I am proud to say that I was part of the conversation in pushing approval for the team.

Congratulations to the team and Ron Dumont and his assistants in winning the first-ever state championship.

How appropriate for the honor to come to Lewiston. With the many banners in the Androscoggin Bank Colisee for the boys hockey team, we now have the girls’ hockey team winning the first one! Way to go!
