LEWISTON – The city is looking for three registered voters to fill vacant spots on the Board of Appeals.
The group hears appeals of city staff and Planning Board decisions. The group meets as needed on Wednesdays, usually about once a month.
The city is specifically looking for residents from wards one, three, five, six and seven. Because of residency requirements, the board can only have two members from each ward serving at the same time. The board has two members from wards two and four each.
People interested in applying should contact the city clerk’s office to complete a committee volunteer application. Application forms are also available on the city’s Web site at www.ci.lewiston.me.us. The clerk’s office may be reached by phone at 513-3124, ext. 3803. The office is open from 8 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
