“Let It Snow” delivers a classic stuck-in-a-snow-storm comedy based in a small town around Christmastime. This book is not just your average teen interest fiction. It is written by three different authors: John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle, and each author has written their own short story of about 100 pages. “Let It Snow” starts off with a story about a teenage girl whose train breaks down and a nice stranger who is a native of the town “rescues” her and brings her back to his house. The two other short stories are based on teens traveling down to the Waffle House to “score some cheerleaders” and an early Starbucks shift. What I Liked about this book is the teenage characters are not perfect, yet they also don’t complain about their imperfections, which I tend to find in most teen books that I read. The characters from each short story also overlap and show up in the next one. In the end, they all tie together. “Let It Snow” is the perfect balance between normal teen situations. A winter must read! (Even though it’s already past Christmas.)
