PERU – Chandra Lee (Cameron) Thibodeau, 57, of Peru went to be with her mother, Myrtie Cameron, on Feb. 22. She passed with loved ones by her side, just as she wanted.

She was born at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Oct. 10, 1951. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School in 1969.

She enjoyed her summers at the house she and her husband built together. She enjoyed her flowers and shrubs and annual planting of her vegetable garden. She loved mowing the grass, filling her birdfeeders and working side-by-side with her husband.

Winters, she and Dennis traveled in their motor home all over the East Coast, and always stopped in Florida to see her dad. She also enjoyed cooking family recipes and her friend Gerri’s southern spare ribs. They took their dogs, Backstretch and Pitstop, with them everywhere. They, as well as Speedway and JC, who are deceased, will all miss their mother terribly. They frequented the bluegrass festivals where she worked along with the promoter’s wife. Also she enjoyed cross stitch, sewing, knitting and meeting people.

Chan will be deeply missed by her husband, Dennis Thibodeau; father and his wife, Joe and Yolande Cameron; brother and sister-in-law, Rod and Beth Cameron; children, Chris Girardin and fiance, Kathleen Moglia, Jodi and Nadim Kashouh, Gwen Clark and Lynda Therriault; grandchildren, Abby and Jessica Girardin, Amir and Amani Kashouh, Jessie Therriault, Josh Allen, Jack, Kim and Cole Clark; aunts and uncles, Cleo Seavey, Joye Earle, Dave and Rachel Pittman, Jenny Bilodeau, Willie and Connie Cameron, Larry and Daisy Cameron.

She was predeceased by her mother; and best friend, Myrtie Cameron.

A special thanks to the staff at CMMC of Lewiston, especially Dr. Gammaitoni and Dr. Desai, as well as the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice nurses.
