FARMINGTON – University of Maine Cooperative Extension educator and researcher Barbara Murphy will conduct an educational program on growing flowers for profit from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the Roberts Learning Center, Room 201, University of Maine at Farmington.

Topics will include equipment, water and fertilizer needs, flower choices, pest control, harvesting flowers, marketing and the pros and cons of growing flowers in a high plastic tunnel versus outdoor growing.

The class is for people who are growing flowers for sale or for those who would like to. The building is handicapped accessible.
