Western Maine Labor Council, AFL-CIO, President Don Berry presented a donation of $650 to Museum L-A Executive Director Rachel Desgrosseilliers during a recent meeting held at the museum headquarters in the Bates Mill Complex. From left are Desgrosseilliers, Berry and Joseph Mailey of the Western Maine Labor Council. Museum L-A co-sponsored the 2008 Labor Council’s Workers Memorial Day Observance and May Day Breakfast which drew 176 union members and supporters to memorialize workers who died on the job and to mark past and present events in the labor movement.
