Nezinscot Masonic Lodge installs year’s officers

TURNER – Nezinscot Masonic Lodge 101 held installation of 2009 officers on Jan. 16 at the Masonic Hall. John Durgin III was installed master for 2009.

The installation suite consisted of Barry Gates, master of ceremony; Randy Murray, installing marshal; Dan Jordan, charges to the officers; Jerry Gilbert, installing chaplain; and Rick Bergeron, installation of appointed officers.

The following will serve as elected and appointed officers for the year: master, John Durgin III; senior warden, Brady Gates; junior warden, Mike Pratt; treasurer, George Austin; secretary, Russ Farwell; chaplain, Mike Arsenault; marshal, Calvin Rose; senior deacon, Chip Gilbert; junior deacon, Dan Ward; senior steward, Dan Millett; junior deacon, Kevin Grover; tyler, Winston (Wink) Gilbert; and historian, Russ Farwell.

Nezinscot Lodge has served the local community for 149 years, having received its charter in May 1860. The lodge is one of 188 in the state and has a membership of 172 Masons.
