LEWISTON – The Western Maine Labor Council will host a public educational forum on the Employee Free Choice Act at 6:30 p.m. March 5 at the IBEW Local 567 Hall, 238 Goddard Road, Lewiston.

The event will feature Maine workers from a variety of industries sharing their stories about why they wanted to form a union and about the intimidation, harassment and firings that took place during organizing efforts. The Western Maine Labor Council is sponsoring this event to give workers a chance to speak out about their experiences when corporations tried to clamp down on their rights in the workplace and to highlight the need to pass the Employee Free Choice Act.
