HEBRON – Andrew Cetola and Andrew Bettencourt scored a pair of goals each to power Hebron to an 8-0 victory over Worcester Academy in the boys’ hockey Holt Championship game on Saturday.

Nate Dupree initiated the scoring for the Lumberjacks only 27 seconds into the contest on an assist from Chris Gacsy.

Hebron improved to 3-0 with a second period tally from Eric Rodriguez, and poured it on with four tallies in the third and final frame. Vlad Gavrik capped the scoring with a conversion from Cam Moniz and William Brewster at the 14:51 mark.

Goalie Craig Ryan turned back all 19 shots.

Girls’ hockey

Hebron 5, NYA 2

HEBRON – Emma Valli and Brittany Toth combined to post the first four goals in the game as Hebron coasted to a 5-2 triumph over North Yarmouth Academy in girls’ ice hockey action Saturday.

Molly Strabley put the Panthers on the board for the first time with a goal at 6:19 of the third period. Courtney Dumont helped to cut the deficit in half at 4-2 just eight seconds later, but that was all North Yarmouth could muster.

Goalie Hannah Harmatz stopped 27 shots for North Yarmouth, while Mariah Mosher repelled 15 shots to earn the win in net for Hebron.
