Last year’s wood and oil prices steered some people to wood pellet stoves. But the pellet supply was spotty, which caused prices to climb.
Today, I filled my oil tank, because pellets cost more than oil to heat, as the stove uses electricity also. I’m not thrilled doing this, as I burned wood for years.
Next year, I will be checking prices of all three types of fuel, as I have the ablity to use any of the three.
If oil costs the least, my money will leave the country and it will be greed that will force me. And that’s what big oil wants.
A thought comes to mind of a wood pellet co-op as a way to lower cost.
