Dear Sun Spots: I’m looking for a shell bean seed called Improved Lowe’s Champion. In the 1940s or 1950s my mother obtained the seed from a friend and I can’t locate any. Would love to buy some to plant this year. It is a white bean with a red eye. Thanks. – Bea, Livermore Falls.

Dear Sun Spots: Our family adopted an orphaned triplet lamb and now we are looking to add to the flock. We are looking for a lamb(s) to be a companion to our 10-day-old dorset/southdown ram. Our family just started participating in the local 4-H programs and our calves and piglets are a few weeks out, so Leo is pretty lonely. Thank you. Call Judy at 645-4944. – Judy, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots, I thought this would be a good way to help get the word out about the Norway-Paris Fish and Game Club’s wood duck nesting box program.

The club has been building and maintaining duck boxes since the 1970s. We have started a new program this year to help defray the cost of building and maintaining the boxes. People may “sponsor” a nesting box in their name or in memory of a loved one. The cost is $20 and is good for 10 years, the average life of a box. A metal tag is attached to the box with the name of the sponsor or memory of. The club also has taken 4-H clubs and Scout troops with them when cleaning and checking the boxes. If interested in sponsoring a box or if you would like more information call Richard Kimball at 583-4750. – Fern, Norway.
