AUBURN – The Auburn Avalanche Peewee House Hockey team enjoyed a successful weekend, earning a 6-1 road victory over the Biddeford Sharks on Saturday morning and a 5-2 home verdict over Huskies No. 1 Sunday morning Auburn advanced its regular-season record to 15-4-4.

Branden Dyer scored a hat trick Saturday. Isaiah Dubois, Tyler Couture and Colin Benson each added a goal, with assists going to Couture and Ryan Lavoie. Ryan Waugh’s goal prevented the shutout for Biddo. Goalie Nick Hemond played a solid game in net for the Avs. Defensemen Tanner Ramich, Shuler Lamothe, Kevin Knight, Austin Thompson and Colin Benson contributed to the strong defensive effort. Offense also stepped up its game, as the Avalanche previously defeated the Sharks in late December, 3-1.

Five different players scored Sunday: Dyer, Dylan Decker, Couture, Ryan Lavoie and Dubois lit the lamp for Auburn. Captain Kyle Knight produced four assists. Benson, Mitchell Spurr and Dyer added the other helpers. Cameron Berube had a strong game for the Avs, as did Couture and Decker. Hemond was sharp between the pipes.
