RUMFORD – Rumford Police Department patrol officers responded to 135 incidents between Feb. 16 and March 2, not including traffic stops.

Arrests/summonses

Feb. 17 at 7:28 p.m., 15-year-old male from Rumford was summoned by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on a charge of assault. Court date April 9.

Feb. 18 at 1:45 p.m., Phillip Mosher, 26, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Jennifer Cramer on charges of probation violation, burglary, drug theft, criminal mischief and violation conditions of release. April 16 court date.

Feb. 21 at 10:42 a.m., Michael Hansen, 30, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of operating after suspension. Hansen posted $300 unsecured bail and was released with a May 5 court date.

Feb. 21 at 6:38 p.m., Dale Pettegrow, 52, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on charges of operating under the influence and operating after suspension. Pettegrow posted $1,000 unsecured bail and was released with a May 5 court date.

Feb. 26 at 5:17 p.m., 16-year-old male from Dixfield charged with possession of marijuana.

Feb. 28 at 11:55 p.m., Steven Goodrum, 46, of Mexico was arrested by Cpl. Doug Maifeld on a charge of operating under the influence. Goodrum posted $400 unsecured bail and was released with a June 4 court date.

March 1 at 2 p.m., Tausha Plante, 32, of Mexico was arrested by Sgt. Tracey Higley on a warrant for theft. Plante was unable to post bail and was taken to Oxford County Jail in Paris.

Suspicious fire

Feb. 17 at 5:50 p.m., Sgt. David Bean and Lt. Daniel Garbarini investigated a fire at Hotel Harris. A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.

Assault

Feb. 19 at 2:30 p.m., a possible assault at Rumford Public Library in investigated.

Feb. 20 at 10:05 p.m., Rumford resident reported being assaulted on Congress Street.

Theft

Feb. 21 at 11:15 a.m., Maine Avenue resident reported theft of two tires valued at $20 from beside his vehicle. Incident under investigation.

Feb. 21 at 8:37 p.m., Waldo Street business reported theft of alcohol observed on the store video camera. Incident under investigation.

Feb. 27 at 2:18 p.m., Maine Avenue resident reported theft of identity to get utilities. Incident under investigation.

Feb. 27 at 4:29 p.m., Congress Street business reported a theft by an employee.

March 1 at 4:11 p.m., Route 2 business reported attempted theft by a 16-year-old from Farmington. Juvenile given a criminal trespass warning.

Wanted

Nickolas McGrane, 19, of Rumford is wanted on a warrant for failure to pay fines on an operating after suspension charge.
