OXFORD – The Threshold To Maine Resource Conservation and Development Area will hold a county meeting for RC&D sponsors and the public from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 16, in the USDA Service Center conference room, 1570 Main St.

The Resource Conservation and Development Program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture is managed locally by the Threshold To Maine Council.

The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss issues facing Oxford County and how RC&D might be able to help. The program provides technical assistance to communities, nonprofits and units of government on natural resource issues.

The council is a grass roots organization made up of representatives from each of 11 sponsors. Sponsors in Oxford County include the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District, Oxford County Commissioners and the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments.

For more information about the meeting, contact the Threshold To Maine office at 657-3131 or e-mail [email protected]. Those who need an accommodation should notify Mark Hews, RC&D coordinator, at 657-3131 by Thursday, March 12.
