Church luncheon

FARMINGTON – Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14. The menu will include spaghetti with meatballs, coleslaw, garlic bread and cake.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon for delivery.

St. Pat’s breakfast

FARMINGTON – The 38th annual St. Patrick’s Day pancake breakfast will be held from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Fairbanks School Meeting House, 508 Fairbanks Road.

The breakfast will feature locally grown food. The event is sponsored by the Democratic Committees of Farmington, Wilton and Jay.

Tickets for the all-you-can-eat breakfast are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. All are welcome. For more information, call Robin Lee at 778-0706.

Sandy River meet

FARMINGTON – The Sandy River Chapter, Maine Genealogical Society, will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, in the History Room of the Farmington Public Library.

The program will be on the Sanborn fire insurance maps. The public is invited.

Salem supper

SALEM – The Salem Fire Department Auxiliary and the Salem Fire Department will hold the annual St. Patrick’s Day supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the cafeteria of Mt. Abram High School.

The evening will end with music by A+E Hill Country. Cost is adults, $6; senior citizens, $4; ages 6 to 12, $3; family rate, $17; under 6, free.

Daffodils coming

LIVERMORE FALLS – Daffodils will be available Wednesday through Friday, March 18 to 20, in Livermore, Livermore Falls and Jay, with proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Brettuns Variety, Food City, Otis Credit Union and Hannaford will be offering daffodils. Pre-orders can placed by calling Angela McDaniel at 897-6692.

Board meeting

NORWAY – Community Concepts will hold a board of directors meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Norway Town Office Complex, 19 Danforth St. All meetings are open to the public. For more information, call 739-6564.

Benefit supper

STRONG – A benefit spaghetti supper for Lester Tolman will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Strong United Methodist Parish Hall, Main Street. Tolman fell in December and broke both legs.

Supper for fuel

JAY – A spaghetti supper will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Route 4. Cost is $7, adults; $4, children. Proceeds will benefit the “Good Neighbor” Tri-Town Ministerial Fuel Fund. There will be raffle tickets and a 50/50 drawing.

A dance will follow from 7 to 10 p.m. with music by Shredder Blues (a local group). Donations will be accepted, with the proceeds going to the fuel fund.
