LEWISTON – La Rencontre will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, at the Franco-American Heritage Center. People are encouraged to speak only French during the two-hour program.

The meal will feature vegetarian lasagna, salad, dessert and beverage from DaVinci’s. Cost is $7 each person.

Following the meal, entertainment will be provided by the St. Patrick Irish Dancers. The dancing group was formed in 2003 by Stuart and Jeannette Gross when parishioners became interested in the style of dance after a demonstration at a St. Patrick’s Day dinner.

The group has 12 dancers. Anecdotes on Irish dance will be presented, intermingled with its connection to French history.
