SKOWHEGAN – WinterKids is facilitating a Volunteer Training from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, March 13, at the Skowhegan Community Center for any individuals interested in getting involved as an ambassador.

Through a grant from New Balance, WinterKids will partner with Somerset Heart Health and the Skowhegan Recreation Department to provide healthy and active outdoor opportunities for area children.

To carry out the goals for the project, WinterKids is recruiting volunteers for various roles, including classroom facilitators for their active academic workshops for kindergartners to eighth-graders, representatives at community events and WinterKids Passport Ambassadors.
