Rep. Wright Patman, D-Texas, chairman of the House Banking Committee, said in 1968 that the Federal Reserve was a second government unto itself – not answerable to the duly-elected government (even though Congress authorized it in 1913). Mayer Amschel Rothschild once said, “Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws.”

The Constitution of the United States gives Congress the power to coin money. If the U.S. Congress coined its own money, as the Constitution directs, it would not have to pay the hundreds of billions of dollars in interest that it now pays each year to the global bankers, such as the Rothschilds, for the national debt. That is why President John Kennedy tried to dismantle the Federal Reserve and began to issue U.S. government money that was free of debt to replace the Federal Reserve dollars we had been using. The Federal Reserve is a misnamed foreign bank that steals money from U.S. citizens.

The Jan. 5 issue of The New American magazine stated that Congress had asked the Fed to account for how much money is being given for bailouts, who is getting the money and under what accountability. The Federal Reserve Bank has refused to answer Congress. Unbelievable.

Politicians should follow Kennedy’s lead and abolish the Federal Reserve, along with any and all foreign control of the nation’s money, and institute the Treasury Department in its proper role of printing money, without charging the American people interest.
